MetaMask serves as a gateway to Decentralized Finance (DeFi) for different blockchains.
In MetaMask you can create wallets for multiple blockchains (coins) or import your existing wallets using your public key. This public key can be used to import your transaction data into a Blockpit Wallet Integration.
The following blockchain imports are currently available:

All your MetaMask related wallets are grouped into a single folder when you create a MetaMask Integration. Existing or future Integrations can also be added to your group at a later point.
More on grouping of integrations within a folder
If you have for example Ethereum based assets in MetaMask, you can use your Ethereum Public Key to automatically import your MetaMask transaction data into your Blockpit Wallet Integration by following the instructions below:

To import your data, you must first create an Integration. To do so, click the top menu item + Integration.

Now select MetaMask and confirm with Connect Wallet.
- Sign in to your MetaMask account via the appearing Pop-Up.
- Now select all accounts (wallet) that you want to connect and confirm with Next in the first step.
- Check your entries and confirm with Connect in the second step.
Optional: The connection can also be disconnected again afterwards (menu item "Connected site").

Now name your integration and confirm with Continue.
Tip: Keep "First Transaction" (Full History) as the default start date. Selecting a specific start date only makes sense if you want to add transactions that are before the start date manually.
- You can let Blockpit check if your address is part of the EVM network (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and therefore active on different blockchains of this network by keeping the following Advanced settings and confirming with Continue.
If your address is EVM enabled, you can now select those active blockchains that you want to import as a standalone wallet integration, as shown below.

To finish, click Continue and all your transactions will be automatically imported into your integration.
If there is no automatic wallet import solution for your blockchain (coin) in Blockpit, you have to import this transaction data manually into a Manual Integration.

If you want to add more blockchain addresses at a later date, you can either create them as a separate + Integration and then add them to your Wallet Integration or Add them directly as a New Address in the Integrations tab.

How do I solve problems with my MetaMask Wallet Integration?

Blockpit shows different Tips (indicators) in the Dashboard and your Transactions list depending on the type of problem you are facing. The following procedure can help you to solve these problems.
Please always synchronize all your integrations first using “Synce All” (Dashboard) and then start a calculation of your transaction data using “Recalculate ” (Transactions) before you analyze Tips or the performance values of your portfolio.
Product updates provided by Blockpit have no direct effect on existing transaction data in your Integration (precautionary measure to avoid changing existing transaction histories through automatic product updates), so creating a new Integration could bring it up to date and solve your problem (Tips) already.
1. Create a new Integration
Temporarily create a second Integration to be able to compare the new and old Integration. Then delete the Integration that you do not want to keep.

Alternatively, it is possible to re-synchronize missing or incorrectly imported transactions. In order not to damage existing transaction histories and to avoid new duplicate transactions, we recommend the following article:

Unlabeled transactions can be subsequently categorized with a corresponding label, edited or merged into Trades or Transfers by selecting related transaction pairs. It is also possible to change the labels of multiple similar transactions collectively (bulk edit).

3. Manually edit, exclude or delete transactions
If you should still see Tips, it is possible that these were caused by incorrect transactions or transactions that were imported twice. These transactions can be edited as follows.

4. Add new transactions
If transactions have not been fully imported, you can add them individually or upload them directly to your integration using the Blockpit XLS Template.
