Tip: Blockpit supports a fully automated Wallet Depot Import for Ethereum-based DeFi applications (Decentralized Finance).
If you use DeFi applications that are not built on the Ethereum blockchain, your transactions will be imported as unlinked deposits and withdrawals. For the time being, these open deposits and withdrawals can be manually extended into an Unsynced Depot according to the following instructions.
What is the difference between a simple wallet address and an account address used by Ledger, Exodus, and others?
Public Wallet Address (public key):
Your Public Wallet Address can be used to track the current amount of your assets (asset balance) as well as all related transactions. A public wallet address is often referred to as a paper wallet or public key.
- Example of a Paper Wallet Address: 34MpgrLDLbBTp9XY12FZKMEj33Jvrk7djs
(Starts with "1", "3" or "bc1")
Example of an Ethereum Wallet address: 0x1b073382e63411e3bcffe90ac1b9a43fefa1ec6f
(Ethereum public key - Starts with 0x)

Public Account Address (extended public key):
In addition to Public Wallet Addresses, there are so-called Public Account Addresses that are used by wallet providers such as Ledger, Exodus, BitBox, and others.
Public addresses of these wallet providers are a modification of the previously mentioned wallet address and are therefore also referred to as a so-called extended public key (e.g. xpub).
- Example of an xpub key account address: xpub6BosfCnifzxcFwrSzQiqu2DBVTshkCXacvNsWGYJVVhhawA7d4R5WSWGFNbi8Aw6ZRc1brxMyWMzG3DSSoekkudhUd9yLb6qx39T9nMdj
(Starts with "xpub", "ypub" or "zpub")
Tip No. 1: Litecoin works analogously with the abbreviations LTub, MTub and zpub as a substitute for the xpub, ypub and zpub prefixes used for Bitcoin.
Tip No. 2: Dogecoin works analogously with the abbreviation dgub as a substitute for the xpub used for Bitcoin.
