We recommend the following approach to import data from other tax software such as Cointracking, Coqonut, Cointracker, Accointing:
- Sign up at Blockpit.
- Preferably, you want to import all your data in an automated way. Therefore, we suggest importing your exchanges and wallets into Blockpit via API by following our first steps guides.
Also check out our list of supported exchanges and blockchains and related articles in our Data-Import section and all articles on how to import data from wallet providers like Ledger, Metamask, Trust Wallet and others.
If technically possible, our API solutions will preclassify most of your transactions automatically (e.g. as staking, lending, etc.). If your transactions are not preclassied you can always use our quick edit function to apply other transaction types. - For exchanges and wallets that are not yet supported via API, you can use our XLS / CSV template.
Tip: It is also possible to set am import start date on exchange depots and therefore combine both the CSV Import and the automated API import.
- Transfers between your depots / wallets (i.e. if you send BTC from an exchange to your own wallet) will be registered as Deposits and Withdrawals. You can link these by using our automatic linking function to consider the original cost basis.
